# About notifications

> Notifications offer ordered and prioritized information about your actions as a user, or about the actions that you manage as an admin.

Notifications offer ordered and prioritized information about your actions as a user, or about the actions that you manage as an admin.

In-app notifications are sent across tenants, via the **Notifications** panel.

Email notifications are sent across tenants to the email address that was used when creating the organization account.

## Notifications panel

Notifications are displayed in the **Notifications panel**. To access the **Notifications panel**, select the bell ![docs image](https://dev-assets.cms.uipath.com/assets/images/integration-service/integration-service-docs-image-bell_icon_notifications_panel-3f0d71bb.png) icon, located in the top navigation bar.

## Events

Whenever an event that impacts you is generated, a notification is sent.

For Integration Service, you can set up a notification for **when a connection to a connector is broken**.

Select the displayed notification message to be directed to the broken connection's page. There, you can directly fix the connection.

## Notification subscriptions

To personalize notifications received in the **Notifications panel**, you can subscribe to, or unsubscribe from events or severity types.

## Data retention policy for notifications

Notifications clear after a 30 day period.
