# About the Mail connector

> The Mail connector supports SMTP, IMAP, and POP3 connections allowing users to send
emails (SMTP), access and manage email messages stored on a mail server (IMAP), and
download emails to their local devices for offline access (POP3). This connector is
compatible with the [Mail activity package](https://docs.uipath.com/activities/other/latest/productivity/about-the-mail-activities-pack).

The connector supports a limited set of commonly used APIs for the target application and may cover most typical use cases. Also, they are retained in a stable state until the requirements for a new version release are met.
