## What are the main differences between the Unified Pricing and Flex licensing plans for Integration Service usage and consumption?

The following table showcases how Integration Service usage is licensed in
Unified Pricing versus Flex:

Table 1. Unified Pricing vs. Flex – Integration Service consumption
overview

| Aspect | Unified Pricing | Flex |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Consumption unit | Platform Units | API Calls |
| Metering basis | Integration Activities | API Calls |
| Rate | 100 activities = 2 Platform Units | 1 activity = 5 API Calls |
| Where metering applies | API Workflows, Agents, Maestro | API Workflows, Agents, Maestro |
| Where consumption is not metered | RPA Workflows | RPA Workflows |
| Bundled entitlements | Platform Units included with user licenses | API Calls included with user and robot licenses |
| Top-up options | Purchase Platform Unit bundles | Purchase API Call bundles |
| Consumption visibility | Tracked in Platform Units (via Consumables dashboard) | Tracked in API Calls (via Consumables dashboard) |

## What happens if I exceed the usage shown in the Licenses page?

The Admin **Licenses** dashboard displays your allocated and consumed API
calls or Integration Activities. This gives you greater visibility into your
usage, helping you make informed decisions about your current and future
licensing needs.

You can use this feature to monitor your usage trends and adjust proactively.
If you anticipate needing more units, we recommend reaching out to your
account manager or sales contact to discuss options. Even if you exceed your
quota, we do not block execution in production. UiPath does not impose
runtime restrictions, so your operations continue uninterrupted, even in
cases of overconsumption.

Any changes to this or the commercial offering will be communicated in advance,
to provide a smooth and seamless experience.

## How can I know what my allocated API calls or Integration Activities are?

Your allocation depends on the licensing model your organization uses:

* Under the Flex Plan, allocation is based on the SKUs you've
licensed. API calls are typically bundled with user and robot
licenses and may also come from separately purchased API call
  bundles.
* Under Unified Pricing, Integration Activities consume Platform
Units, which are allocated according to your plan and license
  entitlements.

To view available allocations and related SKUs, refer to the UiPath licensing
platform and your **Automation Cloud Admin \> Licenses \>
Consumables** dashboard.

The [UiPath licensing platform](https://licensing.uipath.com/) lists all SKUs relevant to
Integration Service.

## Why do I have so many API calls when I have a limited number of automations?

A single API call is determined as consumed when a request is made to the external third-party application through UiPath
Integration Service. The consumption is calculated on the total number of times a call is made to the third-party applications,
regardless of how they are triggered, whether through manual, attended, or unattended execution.

One of the most common reasons for unexpectedly high API usage is the trigger configuration. Even
a single automation with one connector can generate a large number of API
calls if its trigger is set to poll too frequently.

To optimize API usage:

* Review and adjust your trigger polling interval
to better align with your business needs.
* Reducing polling frequency can significantly lower consumption without impacting automation performance.

To learn how you can edit your trigger setup, refer to [Changing your polling
interval](https://docs.uipath.com/integration-service/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/triggers#changing-your-polling-interval).

In the following example, a single organization has multiple tenants, and each tenant has a Microsoft Outlook 365 connection
with trigger configuration to run every five minutes.

## Does UiPath Integration Service charge for using connectors?

UiPath Integration Service does not charge for individual connectors. Usage is calculated based
on the API calls generated by the connector and activities you use.
