> The [Pinecone
connector](https://docs.uipath.com/integration-service/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/uipath-pinecone-pinecone) has been updated to support the new [Global Control Plane API](https://www.pinecone.io/blog/global-api/) introduced by
Pinecone. The new API uses a global URL for control plane operations,
replacing the deprecated version which required regional URLs.

### Pinecone connector supports the global control plane endpoint

The [Pinecone
connector](https://docs.uipath.com/integration-service/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/uipath-pinecone-pinecone) has been updated to support the new [Global Control Plane API](https://www.pinecone.io/blog/global-api/) introduced by
Pinecone. The new API uses a global URL for control plane operations,
replacing the deprecated version which required regional URLs.

### Updates for Amazon Web Services

#### HTTP activity support

The connector now has HTTP activity support, and can be used with UiPath API
workflows and Maestro. This update brings the following benefits:

* Support for custom AWS
  operations, ensuring access to AWS APIs not covered by predefined activities.
* Integration with newer AWS
  services before they're added as dedicated activities.
* Ability to build complex
  workflows with custom multi-step AWS operations.
* API testing, enabling you to test
  AWS endpoints and responses.
* Handling of specific AWS API
  parameters and response formats.
* Availability of custom EC2 operations.

#### Removal of IAM role authentication

To support API workflows and Maestro, which might not be deployed to AWS EC2
instances, the **IAM role** authentication type is no longer available for the
Amazon Web Services connector. For more information about authentication options,
see [Amazon Web
Services authentication](https://docs.uipath.com/integration-service/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/uipath-amazon-webservices-authentication).

### Bi-directional connectivity between UiPath automations and Power Automate

In Maestro, developers can now orchestrate seamless cross-platform workflows using the new
**Start and Wait for** activity, which enables bi-directional communication with
Microsoft Power Automate. This integration allows a UiPath automation to invoke a
specific Power Automate flow, pass structured input data into it, and receive structured
output data in return.

For details, refer to the [Microsoft Power automate connector](https://docs.uipath.com/integration-service/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/uipath-microsoft-powerautomate)
documentation.
