Introduction
Before UiPath Process Mining can be used, a license file is needed. The information you need to request a license can be found in the Superadmin License tab, where you can also add the license.
Every UiPath Process Mining installation already comes with a license file to allow the use of the Superadmin interface. You need to replace this license with an actual license when you want to start developing with UiPath Process Mining.
Requesting a license
Follow these steps to request a license.

Automatically updating the UiPath Process Mining license
Follow these steps to automatically update the UiPath Process Mining license.

1 | After receiving a license key code, you can activate it in the License tab: |
2 | Enter or copy your license code in the License code field. |
3 | Select Automatic as the activation method. |
4 | Click on NEXT. |
Your code is verified by UiPath license servers. If validation is successful, this will be displayed in the License tab. See illustration below.
Manually updating the UiPath Process Mining license
If you do not have internet access you can manually update the UiPath Process Mining license.
Follow these steps to update the license manually.

1 | Go to the Superadmin License tab and click on UPDATE. |
2 | Enter or copy your license code in the License code field. |
3 | • Select Manual as the activation method. |
4 | Select the text and copy the text, for example, to a USB flash drive. |
5 | Go to a device with internet access and go to the website https://activate.uipath.com/. |
6 | • Fill in your copied license request. |
7 | Copy the text that is displayed, for example, to a USB flash drive. |
8 | • Go to the Superadmin License tab on the UiPath Process Mining Server. |
9 | • Enter the text that was generated on the UiPath Activation Portal. |
If validation is successful, this will be displayed in the License tab. See illustration below.
