# Deleting documents

> Delete a file attached to a requirement, test case, or test set.

Permanently remove a file from the Documents tab of a requirement, test case, or test set. The deletion cannot be undone once you confirm it.

## Steps

1. Open your project in Test Manager.
2. Navigate to your artefact (**Requirement**, **Test Case**, **Test Set**).
3. Select an entry in the list to open it.
4. Go to the **Documents** tab.
5. Select a file and select **Delete**.
6. Select **OK** to confirm changes.

## Result

The file is permanently removed from the **Documents** tab.
