# Setting values for URL custom fields

> Add, change, or remove the URL and display text of a URL custom field on a requirement, test case, or test set in Test Manager.

Set the URL and optional display text of a custom field of type **URL** on a requirement, test case, or test set. Test Manager shows the display text as a clickable link, or the URL itself when no display text is set.

:::note
The **URL** custom field type is available in Test Manager only when delivered via Test Cloud.
:::

## Prerequisites

* A custom field of type **URL** assigned to the object type you want to edit. For more information, refer to [Creating custom fields](https://docs.uipath.com/test-manager/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/creating-custom-fields).

## Add or change a value

Enter or update the URL and the optional display text of the field on an object.

1. Open the requirement, test case, or test set and go to its **Details** section.
2. Select the pencil icon next to the URL field. For a requirement, the editor opens in a side panel.
3. In the **URL** field, enter the link. The URL is required.
4. (Optional) In the **Display text** field, enter the text to show instead of the URL.
5. Select **Save**.

Selecting the link opens the URL in a new browser tab. Fields with no value show **Unspecified**.

## Remove a value

Clear the field so that it no longer links anywhere.

1. Select the pencil icon next to the URL field.
2. Delete both the **URL** and the **Display text** entries.
3. Select **Save**.

The field goes back to **Unspecified**.
