# Enable Document Understanding™

> Enable Document Understanding in Automation Suite by activating the service at the tenant level before first use.

Before you can start using UiPath® Document Understanding<sup>TM</sup>, you need to activate the service from UiPath Automation Suite.

As a first time user of Document Understanding, use the following steps to enable the Document Understanding service in your tenant.

1. Log in to your Automation Suite account.
2. Go to the **Admin** page.
3. Select the tenant on which you want to enable Document Understanding from the list on the left side.
4. Go to **Services**.
5. Select the three-dot icon **⋮** from the **Document Understanding** card.
6. Select **Enable** from the drop-down list.

Document Understanding is now enabled on your tenant.
