# General settings

> Account, language, task storage, appearance, recording, and reset options in the General settings tab, shared by Delegate and Cartographer.

Default behavior for new tasks, language, startup, and how Delegate and Cartographer appear on your desktop.

## Account

| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| **Account** | Your name, email, and organization URL. |
| **Tenant** | The Orchestrator tenant currently selected. |
| **Organization** | The organization the tenant belongs to. |
| **UiPath connection** | Connection status. Delegate and Cartographer use the same Orchestrator connection as UiPath Assistant. |

## General

| Setting | Options | Description |
|---|---|---|
| **Language** | Any supported language | UI language |
| **New tasks** | `Local`, `Remote` | Local keeps task messages on this device. Remote stores them on the server. |
| **Sound effects** | Toggle | Play audio feedback for task completion, achievements, and more |
| **Flash taskbar icon when approval is needed** | Toggle | Flash the taskbar icon when a task is waiting for your approval |
| **Screenshot shortcut captures** | e.g. `Current monitor` | Which monitor is captured — the monitor under the cursor, by default |
| **Default screen context for new conversations** | e.g. `Default — only attached apps` | Applies only to new conversations; existing conversations keep their current setting |
| **First message of each turn sends a full screenshot** | Toggle | In Default mode, each user message gets one full-screen capture so "do this for me" works on cold start. Subsequent turns within the turn mask to attached apps. |
| **Default to human-readable view** | Toggle | Show tagged step summaries instead of the script for bash and PowerShell cards when available. Cards without tagged comments show the script. |
| **Static routine titles** | Toggle | Only scheduled routine runs use "Routine name -- date and time" instead of an auto-generated summary |
| **Show experimental features** | Toggle | Show experimental features |

## UiPath CLI

| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| **UiPath CLI authentication** | When on, the UiPath CLI (`uip`) uses your session. Turn off to use the credentials from your local `uip` login. |

## Appearance

| **Theme** | `System` and others | Color theme |
| **Accent color** | e.g. `Delegate` | Drives buttons, links, focus rings, and active states across the app |
| **Foreground** | Auto-tinted color value | Auto-tinted from your accent for coherent contrast |
| **Background** | Auto-tinted color value | Auto-tinted from your accent for coherent contrast |
| **UI font** | e.g. `Inter` | System UI font used across the app |
| **Zoom** | Percentage, with +/- controls | Interface zoom level |

## Recording

## Personalization

## Reset

| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| **Reset settings and restart** | Restores default settings, then restarts the app. This doesn't delete your chats. |
