# Editing individual users and groups

> Edit the roles of individual users and groups or remove them from a Test Manager project.

You can edit roles or remove users and groups.

## Context

Users that are signed in cannot be removed until they sign out.

## Steps

1. Open Test Manager.
2. Open a project.
3. Navigate to **Project Settings** > **Manage Access**.
4. Find the user or group that you want to edit and select the vertical ellipsis.
5. Select one of the following actions:
   * **Edit roles** to change the roles.
   * **Remove user** or **Remove group** to remove users or groups.
6. Confirm your action.

## Result

The user or group's roles are updated, or the user or group is removed from the project.
