Automation Suite release notes

Last updated Mar 9, 2026

2024.10.1

Release date: December 18, 2024

Support for new RHEL version

We have expanded our OS support to include RHEL 9.6. For details on the supported RHEL versions, see Compatibility Matrix.

Release date: September 24, 2025

Support for full migration

Full migration is now supported in Automation Suite 2024.10.1.

Compared to the full migration steps in Automation Suite 2023.10, in this version there is an additional migration step in which you can update the schema of the Insights and Orchestrator databases after previously restoring them.

Also, we implemented the following improvements in the UiPath.OrganizationMigrationApp tool:

  • We provide an inner exception during a database connection test for enhanced error logging and debugging.
  • We improved the merging process of single sign-on users (SSO) from multiple organizations to handle database conflicts more efficiently. The update also provides accurate migration success messages and prevents potential data duplication. This enhancement significantly benefits organizations utilizing the MSI to Automation Suite setup with a multi-tenant configuration and SSO.

For more details, refer to Performing a full migration.

Release date: December 18, 2024

New flags for enhanced Kerberos authentication

We have introduced new configuration flags to give you more control over the Kerberos authentication. You can now use the following flags to customize the Kerberos authentication settings:

  • kerberos_auth_config.enable_integrated_sql_auth: This flag allows you to decouple the Kerberos authentication from the SQL authentication login, and to enable or disable Kerberos authentication for SQL across all your products.
  • <serviceGroupName>.kerberos_auth_config.enabled: This flag allows you to control the use of Kerberos authentication for SQL authentication at product level. You must replace <serviceGroupName> with the name of your product.

These new flags bring changes to the priority order for SQL Kerberos authentication, as follows:

  1. Kerberos authentication for SQL is enabled by default when Kerberos authentication is enabled.
  2. If you set kerberos_auth_config.enable_integrated_sql_auth to false, Kerberos authentication for SQL is disabled across all your products.
  3. If you set <serviceGroupName>.kerberos_auth_config.enabled to false, Kerberos SQL authentication is disabled for the specified product.

For more details on Kerberos authentication, see Setting up Kerberos authentication.

New prerequisite checks

We have introduced more prerequisite checks to optimize the overall experience of installing and configuring Automation Suite and to catch missing requirements earlier. Here are some highlights:

  • A new validation check ensures that the READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT option is enabled in the SQL Server database. We have implemented this check validation for Orchestrator, Apps, and Process Mining.
  • We have introduced a prerequisite check in the mirror-registry.sh and hydrate-registry.sh scripts to validate the OCI compliance of the external registry before uploading images.

Security enhancements

We continue to provide security updates and patches to address Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs).

Support added for Document Understanding modern projects

Document Understanding modern projects are now supported in Automation Suite on Linux for offline deployments.

Bug fixes

  • We have fixed an Automation Suite installation issue that occurred when using an SQL Server version prior to 2019.
  • We have fixed an issue that caused Insights data loss when you reinstalled or upgraded Insights following an Automation Suite upgrade from version 2023.4 or older.
  • We have fixed an issue causing the temporary registry installation to fail for RHEL 8.9. This issue occured due to the deprecated systemd generate command in the upstream Podman and the absence of secontext in Podman-generated systemd files.
  • An issue was causing the Helm chart build to fail when the enableSqlIntegratedAuth parameter was set to true in values.yaml for Kerberos SQL integration. This issue occured to due incorrect indentation of certain environment variables. We have fixed the issue.
  • We fixed an issue causing Automation Hub to become inaccessible after an upgrade to Automation Suite 2024.10.
  • We fixed an Insights annotation issue that would block the Automation Suite installer.
  • We fixed an issue causing a partial failure to restore a backup due to a Dapr sync issue.
  • We have fixed an issue causing the prerequisite checks to identify hostnames with capital letters as invalid. This behavior no longer occurs. Hostnames are now validated correctly regardless of letter capitalization.
  • We have fixed an issue causing the aicenter skill sync and aicenter skill status commands to fail during a side-by-side upgrade. This issue occurred due to a syntax error.
  • An issue was preventing exclude=rke2-* from being automatically added to the /etc/yum.conf file on all nodes. This issue occurred particularly in online environments and caused an unintentional upgrade of the RKE2 service on nodes other than the first server. Previously, you had to manually add the exception to the /etc/yum.conf on all nodes. We have fixed the issue.
  • An issue was causing the node removal operation to fail with an error: no objects passed to scale message. This issue occurred due to a name mismatch during the scaling up of the Prometheus operator. We have fixed the issue.
  • You can now use custom directories for storing your pod logs. Previously, this function was unavailable due to the switch to kube-logging.
  • We have fixed an issue that occurred in non-HA Redis scenarios, where the redis-cluster-0 pod could get stuck in a terminating state during node drain operations. This behavior no longer occurs.
  • When using style attributes in the HTML tags while customizing your Login page, they reflected accurately in the preview. However, upon saving the changes, the style attributes were deleted automatically. Now, all style attributes used within tags persist after saving your changes.
  • We have fixed an issue causing the upgrade to fail due to the overriding of existing Insights PVC sizes.
  • An issue was causing installation or upgrade failures when enabling Connaisseur during the configuration of an external OCI-compliant registry. This issue occurred when the registries.trust.enabled parameter was set to true in the cluster_config.json file. We have fixed the issue.
  • We fixed a bug that was breaking SAML2 when basic authentication was disabled, along with various other bugs.
  • You can now forward logs to external tools, such as Splunk, using the OpenTelemetry Collector. Previously, this function was unavailable due to the switch to kube-logging.
