How to push a local Docker image to the in-cluster registry

Push a locally available Docker image to all registry pods in an Automation Suite High Availability (HA) in-cluster registry using a provided bash script.

Use this script to push a locally available Docker image to all registry pods in an Automation Suite High Availability (HA) in-cluster registry.

Note:

The in-cluster registry has multiple replicas in HA environments. Pushing a Docker image via registry.FQDN does not work. To push a Docker image to all registry pods, use the following script instead.

Prerequisites

The Docker image you want to push must be present in the local Podman store under localhost:30071.

Steps

  1. Save the following script to a file, for example push-to-registry.sh:

  2. Make the script executable:

    chmod +x push-to-registry.sh
    chmod +x push-to-registry.sh
    
  3. Run the script, passing your image name as an argument:

    ./push-to-registry.sh localhost:30071/<image-name>:<tag>
    ./push-to-registry.sh localhost:30071/<image-name>:<tag>
    

Result

When the script completes successfully, it outputs a message similar to the following:
