# Input for Category

> Category ID input rules for Automation Hub API calls, including how hierarchy chaining works using the lowest-level category ID.

Use the lowest Category ID in order for the whole hierarchy chain to be inputted.

You can easily extract the Category values relevant for your tenant by using the GET category call.

**Example: "category=717**" where 717 is a level 3 Category used in order to input the whole Category chain (the Level 1 Category, the Level 2 Category, and the Level 3 Category).
