# Enable Insights Connection

> :::note
The integration works at the tenant level. Both Automation Hub and Insights services need to be enabled in the same tenant.
:::

## Pre-requisites

:::note
The integration works at the tenant level. Both Automation Hub and Insights services need to be enabled in the same tenant.
:::

* You need an Automation Cloud organization.
* You need Automation Cloud Org Admin role to enable services.
* Enable the Automation Hub service on the tenant of your choice.
* Enable the Insights service on the same tenant.
* System Admin role is needed in the Automation Hub service to enable the integration.

## Enable Insights Connection

1. Open Automation Hub.
2. Go to **Admin Console**.
3. Navigate to **Platform Setup** > **Insights connection**.
4. Enable the **Connection status** toggle.

This action will trigger:

* The data movement - [a job](https://docs.uipath.com/insights/v0/docs/automation-hub-integration-overview#how-it-works) will periodically extract the data from Automation Hub database (once every hour).
* Two Dashboard tiles are made available in the **UiPath Templates** tab in Insights, named **Automation Hub Ageing Report** and **Automation Hub**.

:::note
The first time you enable the Insights connection, it can take up to one hour to have the data populated in the Automation Hub dashboards displayed in Insights.
:::

## Disable Insights Connection

1. Open Automation Hub.
2. Go to **Admin Console**.
3. Navigate to **Platform Setup** > **Insights connection**.
4. Disable the **Connection status** toggle.

This action will stop the job extracting the data and remove the Automation Hub Templates from Insights.

In case the templates were copied, enhanced, and used in "My dashboard" & "Tenant" sections, those dashboards will remain, but will be "frozen", and will show the data available when the connection was disabled (no further updates).

If the connection will be re-enabled, the data will be refreshed.
