Creating automations

Create automations that combine UiPath and SAP Build Process Automation capabilities, from the SAP Build lobby through project publishing.

This is a high-level overview of the steps needed for creating an automation which leverages both UiPath® and SAP Build Process Automation automation capabilities.

1. In the SAP Build lobby, start building an automation project. Add a name and any other defining components.

2. In your new project, select the UiPath automation option. This opens UiPath Studio Web in a new tab within SAP Build Process Automation.

3. Configure your automation as needed in UiPath Studio Web. Find out more about designing automations with Studio Web.

   If you use an activity that is only compatible with the desktop version of Studio, you are directed to Studio Desktop. Check out the dedicated documentation for details.

   Note:

   Privacy notice UiPath does not explicitly require sensitive personal data in Automation Cloud services. You can decide what data to use with the UiPath automations you build and run.

4. Further configure your automation project as needed, by adding any appropriate SAP Build Process Automation automation objects.

5. Release the project, then deploy it. For details, check out the SAP Build Process Automation documentation on releasing and on deploying a project.

Once you deploy a project, it can be run in Orchestrator.

Important:

• Do not change the name of the SAP Build folder. Doing so would cause automations to break.
• You cannot make changes to a process name or version.
