October 2024 release notes for Automation Cloud Public Sector.

Email and password sign-up now available

Automation Cloud for Public Sector now supports signing up and signing in via email and password. You are no longer limited to Microsoft-based sign-ups, addressing the needs of those organizations that do not use Microsoft. As part of this new sign-up process, a one-time password is being introduced for enhanced security.

Following email and password sign-up, administrators can directly configure their third-party identity provider for authentication. Administrators can also invite other users—either individually or in bulk—to join their organization using the new sign-up method.

This update introduces an invitation-based model where users exist within the UiPath system. Thus, management of these local users happens directly within UiPath.

However, directory Single Sign-On (SSO) remains our recommended method for maintaining federated user management with your organization's identity provider.

Redesigned left rail for enhanced navigation

In our continuous efforts to enhance your user experience, we are excited to announce a redesigned left rail in Automation Cloud to ensure you can easily access key parts of the platform.

The new left rail is custom-tailored, displaying only your favorite services and modules, which you can effortlessly personalize. All accessible services that you have access to are still available, but in order to see them, you need to expand the left rail.

To add a service to favorites, hover over it and select the gray Favorites icon next to the service name. To remove a service from favorites, use the orange Favorites icon.

The following image shows the left rail both when expanded and when not expanded.

Note, however, that you can no longer customize your old navigation bar from your user preferences.

Alphabetic tenant sorting

The tenant picker now displays the tenants you have access to in an alphabetical order.
