> April 2026 release notes for Agents in Automation Cloud.

## April 30, 2026

### Clone a low-code agent as a coded agent (public preview)

You can now clone an existing low-code agent as a coded agent directly from Studio Web. Cloning generates a Python project — including source code representing the agent's prompts, tools, and schemas, with all required dependencies — that you can continue developing in your IDE while retaining access to all UiPath platform capabilities. The original low-code agent is not affected.

For details, see [Clone a low-code agent as a coded agent](https://docs.uipath.com/agents/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/clone-low-code-agent-as-coded).

### Conversational agents updates

This release expands deployment options for conversational agents and brings Teams and Slack to general availability.

#### New deployment channels

- **Dedicated Microsoft Teams App** — You can create a dedicated Teams app for a conversational agent. Unlike the standard shared-channel integration, a dedicated app maintains persistent conversation context, supports concurrent conversations, and removes the requirement to @mention the bot. For setup instructions, refer to [Dedicated Microsoft Teams App](https://docs.uipath.com/agents/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/conversational-agents-dedicated-teams).
- **TypeScript SDK** — The UiPath TypeScript SDK is available as a deployment channel, enabling developers to embed conversational agents directly into custom front-end applications. For supported features and setup, refer to [TypeScript SDK](https://docs.uipath.com/agents/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/conversational-agents-typescript-sdk).

#### General availability: Teams and Slack channels

The Microsoft Teams and Slack channels are now generally available.

#### Feature updates

- File uploads are supported in Teams and Slack.
- Citations are available when agents are embedded in UiPath Apps. Note: the citation viewer does not render when the agent is embedded in an iFrame.
- The "Delete chat session" option has been removed from Teams. To start a new conversation, use the **New chat** prompt instead.

For a full channel comparison, refer to [Deploying conversational agents](https://docs.uipath.com/agents/automation-cloud/latest/user-guide/conversational-agents-deployment).
