# Duplicate Sheet Workbook (preview)

> Duplicate Sheet Workbook activity that creates a copy of a sheet in an Excel workbook under a new name.

## Description

Creates a copy of a sheet in an Excel workbook under a new name. This is the cross-platform equivalent of the [Duplicate Sheet](https://docs.uipath.com/activities/other/latest/productivity/duplicate-sheet-x) Windows activity.

## Properties

### Common

* **DisplayName** - The name displayed for the activity in the Designer panel.

### Input

* **File** - The full path of the resource workbook. To switch to a local path, select the plus icon, and then **Use Local File**. The current field changes to **File (local path)**, where you can provide the full path of the workbook.
* **Sheet Name** - The name of the existing sheet to duplicate. This field is required.
* **New Sheet Name** - The name of the duplicated sheet. This field is required.

### Options

* **Password** - The password of the workbook, if necessary.

### Use Workbook

* **Workbook** - The existing workbook to use instead of a file path.

## Notes

* The new sheet is placed immediately after the source sheet and contains a full copy of its data.
* The activity fails with an error if the source sheet does not exist or a sheet named **New Sheet Name** already exists.
