# Release notes > **Release date: April 1, 2026** ## v2.1.0 - preview **Release date: April 1, 2026** ### Improvements **Enhanced logging for DU/OmniPage activities** Additional context is now logged for Document Understanding and OmniPage activities, improving troubleshooting visibility in the Robot logs. ### Bug fixes The OmniPage activity package now works correctly when projects are packaged using Solution Packer. Previously, the pack failed when SolutionPacker was used to bundle the project. ## v2.0.0 - preview **Release date: April 1, 2026** ### Breaking changes Starting with version 2.0.0, Windows-Legacy projects are no longer supported. The package is compatible only with Windows projects. As a result, this version and all subsequent versions will no longer work with Legacy projects and will not be visible under Manage Packages for Legacy projects. Package versions prior to 2.0.0 continue to be supported according to their lifetime. For more details, check the Upcoming removals page. **Erratum – added April 1, 2026**: This release was available starting February 2026. Handwriting recognition applies only to hand-printed text, where the characters don’t have a connection and handwritten characters should have an ideal size of 25-45 pixels. ### Bug Fixes Fixed a bug that was causing the OmniPage OCR to throw an error when the language was changed. ## v1.9.0 **Release Date: 9 May 2022** ### Improvements The **UiPath.OmniPage.Activities** package has been upgraded to.NET5 core. This change implies having the.NET5 installed on your machine if the package is run within a non-Windows legacy workflow. ## v1.8.0 **Release Date: 5 October 2021** ### Improvements Improvements have been made to optimize the OCR results on scanned documents. Best results are obtained by keeping the skew angle between +/- 20 degrees. Due to improvements to image processing algorithms, changes might appear in the digitization of certain documents. ### Bug Fixes * Fixed a bug that was causing the OCR engine to return an error on certain air-gapped systems. * To avoid compilation errors when publishing libraries that contain the **OmniPage OCR** activity, this package has been optimized for thread-safety. ### Known Issues * If you want to use any OCR activity from this package in Studio v2019.10, please install the **UiPath.CoreIPC** package, version 2.0.1 or higher. ## v1.7.1 **Release Date: 26 March 2021** ### Improvements Updated support for the new Studio version. ### Bug Fixes * Fixed a UI issue in the **Screen Scraping Wizard**. ## v1.7.0 **Release Date: 28 September 2020** ### Improvements The language option for the **OmniPage OCR** activity now supports multiple languages separated by commas except for Japanese, Korean and Chinese which should be used individually. ## v1.5.0 **Release Date: 4 May 2020** ### New Features and Improvements **OmniPage OCR** is now available as a default option in the OCR section of Studio’s Project Settings window. A small improvement was done for the **OmniPage OCR** activity by adding descriptions for all the `Scale`, `Result`, and `Profile` options. The language option for **OmniPage OCR** activity used with the **Screen Scraping** wizard is now displayed as a text box, not as a drop-down list. You can now add the language code directly as a string. After running the process, if no language is matched with your input, then the field is automatically set to `auto`. This change is visible in the process logs. ## v1.2.0 **Release Date: 6 November 2019** ### New Features and Improvements A new feature is available for the [OmniPage OCR](https://docs.uipath.com/activities/other/latest/document-understanding/omnipage-ocr) activity. When used together with the [Digitize Document](https://docs.uipath.com/activities/other/latest/document-understanding/digitize-document) activity, it can report word polygons, besides word horizontal boxes. Four new languages, Turkish (TR), Portuguese (PT), Spanish (ES), and Spanish-Mexico (ES-MX) are available for the **UiPath.OmniPage.Activities** package. ## v1.1.0 **Release Date: 26 August 2019** ### Improvements Three new languages, German (DE), South Korean (KO), and Portuguese (PT-BR) are available for the **UiPath.OmniPage.Activities** package. ### Known Issues * The user interface of the **OmniPage OCR** activity is available, for the moment, only in English. This does not affect the languages listed in the **Basic** and **Extended** Packages. ### Bug Fixes * Fixed an issue that caused an incorrect rotation of a character when the **Digitize Document** activity was using the **OmniPage OCR**.
