We are constantly working to improve your UiPath Document Understanding experience. Even though there are no major significant changes with this release, we made sure to bring minor improvements and accessibility fixes to our product.

## v2.13.0

**Release date: 24 October 2022**

### New Features & Improvements

Every word from Document Object Model can now be set as type **Text**, **Handwriting**, or **Checkbox**.

## v2.11.0

**Release Date: 9 May 2022**

### Improvements

The **UiPath.OCR.Contracts** package has been upgraded to.NET5 portable, allowing you to run them on Linux robots.

## v2.9.1

**Release Date: 1 October 2021**

### Improvements

The **UiPath.OCR.Contracts** package has been upgraded to.NET5. While both.NET versions continue to be supported, the.NET5 projects can only work on 64-bit architectures.

A new property has been added in the OCR Results which can be used by OCR engines to indicate whether they can detect checkboxes. If this property is set as True, then the **Digitize Document** activity no longer applies its own Checkbox detection algorithm. This change is visible only at the **OCR.Contracts** package level.

## v2.7.3

**Release Date: 23 March 2021**

### Bug Fixes

* Fixed an issue with missing API documentation.

## v2.7.1

**Release Date: 28 September 2020**

### New Features and Improvements

Through this new **UiPath.OCR.Contracts** version, we are opening the UiPath ecosystem of activities to any and all customers, partners, and technology partners, to publish their own OCR engines, tailored to the markets and use cases they face.

If you are using an OCR engine or service very specific to your needs, you can now wrap it up in a custom activity and make it available for usage in both **Screen Scraping** and **UiAutomation** activities, as well as in **Document Understanding**.
