About the Twilio Activities Package - Classic

Overview

Twilio is a leading cloud communication company that enables software developers to programmatically interact with a variety of communication channels including voice/phone, SMS/text, email, chat and web channels. Twilio offers a rich set of communication REST APIs to build communication workflows in a variety of applications and scenarios.

The Twilio activities give you the ability to initiate an outgoing phone call or SMS message.

How it works

To enable the outbound automation between UiPath and Twilio, the Twilio activities establish an authenticated connection via the Twilio Scope activity.

After your connection is established, you can add the other Twilio activities to create new automation projects, or add them to existing projects.

How does it connect?

This is where we need your help.

To establish an authenticated connection, the Twilio activities need authorization from the Account dashboard.

To enable Twilio HTTP basic auth, you create or use an existing Account SID / AuthToken pair or generate an API Key SID / API Key Secret. After creating these credentials, you need to enter them in the Twilio Scope activity. When you run your automation project, the keys are used to sign the API requests being made by each of the activities.
