Invoke Slack Admin Operation

UiPath.Slack.Activities.SlackInvokeAdminActivity

The Invoke Slack Admin Operation activity uses the Slack API operations to invoke a specified admin operation.

Tip: This activity only will show and allow you to choose admin operations. If you are not a Slack admin and want to execute an non-admin method, please use the Invoke Slack Operation activity.
After executing the operation, the activity outputs action specific field values (if applicable) and the status of the request (success/failure information) in a ResponseStatus object (ResponseStatus) that you can use in subsequent activities (e.g., conditional logic).

How it works

The following steps and message sequence diagram is an example of how the activity works from design time (i.e., the activity dependencies and input/output properties) to run time.

  1. Complete the Setup steps.
  2. Add the Slack Scope activity to your project.
  3. Add the Invoke Slack Operation activity inside the Slack Scope activity.
  4. Choose the Slack API operation you want to use by either browsing for it via the Category and Operation Name drop down lists, or via search in the Search Operations textbox.
  5. Enter values for the Input properties if applicable.
  6. Create and enter ResponseStatus variables for the Output properties.
    • The request is sent to the relevant Slack API operation.
    • The operation returns the ResponseStatus values to your output property variables, and will populate any Out parameter variables you have set via the Object Wizard.

In the Body of the Activity

To enter your Invoke Slack Operation property values, you must use the Object Wizard by clicking the Configure button. Both input and output properties for the Operation you select in the Wizard can be specified in the dialog.

To learn more about the Object Wizard, see the Business Activity Frameworks page.
