Email Notifications

On this page you find information about email notifications and how to manage them.

Email notifications offer near to real-time information about action activities that take place inside the tenant that you are a part of. Email notifications are sent to the email address that was used when creating the Automation CloudTM account.

 

Action activity types


Email notifications are generated whenever an action activity takes place that impacts you. The action activities that generate email notifications are:

  • Action Assigned - an Action has been assigned to you.
  • Action Bulk Assigned - a bulk of Actions have been assigned to you.
  • Action Forwarded - an Action has been forwarded to you.
  • Action Bulk Un-assigned - a bulk of actions have been unassigned from you.
  • Action Un-assigned - an Action has been unassigned from you.

 

Viewing and accessing email notifications


When an action activity, that you are subscribed to, takes place, an email notification will be generated and sent to the email address that you used to create your Automation Cloud account. To access the email notifications, check out the inbox of the email address where you know the notifications will be sent.

The emails contain information about the following:

  • Action activity - the type of Action activity that was performed.
  • Username and Email - the name of the user who performed the Action activity and their email address.
  • Action ID - the ID of the Action.
  • Action Title - the title of the Action.
  • Action Catalog - the name of the Action Catalog, where the Action is stored.
  • Action Priority - the priority of the Action.
  • Labels - the labels added to the Action.

The View Action button, in the email, redirects you to the specific Action on which the action activity was performed on.

Notifications settings page


You can modify the settings of your email notifications from the Notifications settings page.

Select the user account circle with name initials inside of it icon in Automation Cloud, go to Preferences, and then go to Notifications.

You can also access the Noifications settings page through the Notifications panel. Click the settings round and gray gear icon icon in the Notifications panel. For more information about the Notifications panel, go here.

 

Default subscriptions


You can view your email notification subscriptions in the Notifications settings page. Go to the Actions tab, and then go to the Email column.

With the Notifications service, you are, by default, subscribed to all action activities:

  • Action Assigned
  • Action Bulk Assigned
  • Action Forwarded
  • Action Bulk Un-assigned
  • Action Unassigned.

 

Subscribing to action activity email notifications


You can subscribe to certain action activities to receive notifications about them. To subscribe to action activities, go to the Notifications settings page.

Subscribing to an action activity

To subscribe to a certain action activity:

  1. Go to the Notifications settings page.
  2. Go to the Actions tab and then go to the Email column.
  3. Select the checkbox that is in line with the action activity that you want to subscribe to. For example, select the checkbox that is inline with Action Assigned, to subscribe to email notifications about assigning actions.

To subscribe to all action activities:

  1. Go to the Notifications settings page.
  2. Go to the Actions tab and then go to the Email column.
  3. Select the Email checkbox to subscribe to email notifications about all action activities.

Unsubscribing from action activity email notifications


To stop receiving email notifications, you can unsubscribe from certain action activities or unsubscribe from all action activities. You can unsubscribe from action activities in the Notifications settings page.

Unsubscribing from an action activity:

  1. Go to the Notifications settings page.
  2. Go to the Actions tab and then go to the Email column.
  3. Deselect the checkbox that is in line with the action activity that you want to unsubscribe from. For example, unselect the checkbox that is inline with Action Assigned to unsubscribe from email notifications about assigning actions.

Unsubscribing from all action activities

To unsubscribe from all action activities:

  1. Go to the Notifications settings page
  2. Go to the Actions tab and then go to the Email column.
  3. Deselect the Email checkbox to unsubscribe from email notifications about all action activities.

Warning: Unsubscribing from all action activities, via both Automation Cloud and Email, generates the following warning: "You’re not subscribed to receive any notifications from this service.".

The Restore Default Subscriptions button restores the default subscriptions for notifications received both on Automation Cloud (through the Notifications panel) and Email.
