Deputy authentication

Prerequisites

To create a connection, you need the following credentials:

  • Hostname
  • Client ID
  • Client secret
  • Deputy username and password

This connector uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. Learn more from the Deputy authentication documentation.

How to retrieve your OAuth 2.0 credentials
  1. Log in to https://once.deputy.com/my/oauth_clients using your regular Deputy credentials.
  2. Create an OAuth application following the steps described in Setting up a new Client ID.
    • Make sure the Redirect Uri is set to: https://cloud.uipath.com/provisioning_/callback.
  3. Save the OAuth app and copy the Client ID and Client secret.
How to retrieve your hostname
  1. Log in to your Deputy dashboard.
  2. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar and enter it in the Hostname field during connection creation.

Add the Deputy connection

  1. Select Integration Service from Automation CloudTM.

  2. From the Connectors list, select Deputy. You can also use the search bar to find the connector.
  3. Select the Connect to Deputy button.
  4. Enter the required credentials and select Connect.
  5. You are now redirected to the Deputy sign-in page. Enter your Deputy credentials and log in.
  6. Next, you must give some permissions to the UiPath for Deputy application. This includes access to timesheets, schedules, basic employee data, etc. Select Allow access.
  7. Your connection has been added.
